Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal extended his congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Space Research Organisation for the successful touchdown of Chandrayan-3 on the lunar surface on Wednesday.
Using his account on the social media platform “X,” formerly known as Twitter, the Nepal PM conveyed his message: “I extend my congratulations to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji and the ISRO team of India for accomplishing the successful landing of Chandrayan-3 on the moon’s surface today. This marks a remarkable achievement in the fields of science and space technology.”
Furthermore, Nepal’s Foreign Minister NP Saud shared his felicitations with India for the accomplished soft landing of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft on the moon.
Through his social media handle on platform “X,” Saud expressed: “Warmest congratulations to India on the successful soft landing of the Chandrayaan-3 spacecraft on the moon! This achievement not only fills our Indian friends with national pride but also signifies a significant stride in the progress of space science and technology, ultimately contributing to the betterment of our lives. @DrSJaishankar @ISRO.”
The nation was captivated as India’s third lunar mission journeyed to the moon’s South Pole, marking India as the pioneer in achieving this feat.
Special prayers were conducted at various places of worship including temples, mosques, and gurudwaras, seeking success for this mission which holds immense importance for ISRO’s forthcoming interplanetary ventures.
In the United States, the Chandrayaan-3 mission’s soft landing on the moon was broadcasted live on the ISRO website, captivating students all over the country who eagerly witnessed the Automatic Landing Sequence (ALS) and the creation of history.
To celebrate the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 on the Moon, sweets were distributed at the Embassy of India.
The Embassy of India in Washington, D.C. organized a special screening event for the Chandrayaan-3’s successful soft landing on the moon.
In addition to embassy personnel, this event welcomed high-ranking officials from NASA, including NASA’s chief technologist AC Charania, to witness this momentous event.
