Under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, Nehru Yuva Kendra Anantnag today organized Yuva Utsav- India @2047 at Govt. Girls Higher Secondary School Kulgam.
The programme was presided over by the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din-Bhat.
The theme of the programme was “Panch Pran” Amrit Kaal and during this day-long programme, students participated in five different events which included Poetry, Painting, Photography, Declamation and Cultural event. More than 200 Participants from different schools of district Kulgam participated in these events.
Stalls were also installed by students showcasing their achievements, innovations and cultural ethos and by different departments like Agriculture, Horticulture, Sheep and Animal Husbandry, Social Welfare, DIC, Handicrafts, Education, Health, Youth Service and Sports, Labour and other departments.
The stalls were inspected by the Deputy Commissioner, on the occasion and appreciated the students for their endeavours.
On the occasion, the DC said that the aim of organising such programmes is to create an atmosphere and provide a platform to youth to showcase their potential in different fields and to prepare them to contribute in nation building.
He also appreciated the initiatives taken by the Nehru Yuva Kendra for organising such programmes for the youth and urged concerned officers of Nehru Yuva Kendra Anantnag to organize more programmes in future like these.
Among others, the event was attended by ACR Mir Imtiyaz-ul-Aziz, Deputy Director NYK Mohammad Khalil Mir and other officers and officials.
President Municipal Council Kulgam Muneeb Ahmad also attended the programme.
