Neetu Kapoor is celebrating her 64th birthday on July 8 in Italy alongside her family. Her son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Riddhima Kapoor Sahni are present for this special occasion. Unfortunately, Alia Bhatt couldn’t attend her mother-in-law’s birthday celebration. Moreover, Kareena Kapoor and her husband Saif Ali Khan, who are currently vacationing in Italy, were also not seen at the celebration.
However, despite their absence, Kareena and Saif sent their birthday wishes to Neetu through a video. Kareena posted a picture of Neetu on her Instagram Stories earlier in the day, expressing her warm wishes to her “sweet, sweet Neetu aunty.” Neetu shared Kareena’s Story and later posted another Story filmed by Kareena. In the video, Saif can be seen toasting Neetu’s birthday with white wine, mentioning that they are in Sardegna, another part of Italy. Kareena then turns the camera towards herself and extends her birthday wishes as well. The video shows Saif, Kareena, and a friend enjoying wine together. Neetu reposted the video on her Instagram Stories and captioned it, “This made my day. Love you Saif Bebo.”
To clarify the relationship between Neetu and Kareena, Neetu was married to the late actor Rishi Kapoor, who was the younger brother of Randhir Kapoor, Kareena’s father. While Neetu and Kareena have not worked together on screen, they have been seen sharing close bonds during Ranbir and Alia’s wedding last year, among other family members.
Several other celebrities also took to Instagram Stories to wish Neetu on her birthday, many of which Neetu reposted. These include costume designers Manish Malhotra, Abu Jani, and Sandeep Khosla, Jugjugg Jeeyo co-stars Kiara Advani, Anil Kapoor, and Maniesh Paul, Soni Razdan (who is Alia Bhatt’s mother), along with her daughters Shaheen and Alia Bhatt, actor Sonali Bendre, casting director Shanoo Sharma, and Neetu’s daughter Riddhima.
Neetu was last seen in the role opposite Anil Kapoor in the family dramedy Jugjugg Jeeyo, directed by Raj Mehta, produced by Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions, and also featuring Varun Dhawan and Kiara Advani. She will next be seen in the film Letters to Mr Khanna, alongside Sunny Kaushal and Shraddha Srinath. The movie has completed production and will soon premiere on Lionsgate Play.
