Navratra festival culminates with Saakh immersion in Jammu

Jammu: The nine -day long celebration of Navratra festival culminated with Durga Pooja and immersion of Saakh in different rivers and canals across the Jammu region in different temples on the occasion of Durga Ashtami.
Thousands of devotees paid obeisance in different temples during the last nine days of festival. In holy shrine of Mata Vaishno Devi Katra, thousands of devotees paid obeisance during the last nine days of festival.
The devotees immersed Saakh after performing Pooja in their houses in the morning today in river Tawi, Ranbir canal and river Chenab in Jammu.
