Former Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu, lodged in Patiala Central Jail, was released today after spending ten months in prison. Donning a blue kurta and turban, Siddhu was seen walking out of jail with a book in his hand.
Several Congress leaders and supporters were gathered outside the Patiala Jail to accord the 59-year-old former cricketer a grand welcome upon his release. They were seen with dhols and also chanted ‘Navjot Sidhu zindabad’.
