Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday addressed the Rajya Sabha on the Motion of Thanks to the President’s address, and expressed gratitude to all Members of Parliament and said they enriched the discussion in the House.
The Prime Minister also said the people of the country have given their support to work done by the BJP-led NDA government in the last 10 years, and that the Constitution works as a lighthouse, gives us directions.
As the proceedings of Rajya Sabha began, Chairman Jagdeep Dhankhhar offered condolences on the loss of lives in the stampede in Hathras in Uttar Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha, Mallikarjun Kharge, called on the government to enact legislation aimed at preventing similar incidents in the future.
