Social Activist and president of Th NGO Helping Hands Care Foundation J&K ,Nasir Hussain urged the administration to make adequate arrangements with regard to uninterrupted power and water supply besides immediate improvement of roads, street lights, sanitation, health facilities in the Shia dominated areas.
In a statement issued to print and electronic media, Nasir Hussain has urged the administration to ensure all basic civic amenities to people in view of the forthcoming auspicious month of Muharram.
He demands immediate repairing of street lights, ensuring of uninterrupted power supply to Imambaras improvement and macadamisation of roads in Shia inhabited areas particularly leading to Imambaras on immediate priority.
Nasir Hussain has emphasised on making fool-proof medical arrangements and deployment of medical teams along with ambulances in all areas where processions are taken out.
The authorities should ensure sanitation and cleanliness drives throughout the month on priority and ensure timely supply of ration to the people and the Food & Supplies department should ensure all essentials and required items are available in the market, besides, there is no violation of official rate list of essentials.The Fire and Emergency department should remain prepared to deal with any eventuality. The government should ensure adequate and hassle free transport facilities till the conclusion of the processions,” Nasir Hussain added.
