Baramula Police booked Notorious Drug Smuggler and Ward Member of Municipal Committee Pattan namely Barkat Ali Mian @ Raja of Mian Mohalla Pattan under PIT-NDPS Act.
Police Sources told that they acting tough against drug peddlers and to eradicate the menace of drugs in baramulla district.
Baramulla Police has booked a notorious drug smuggler namely Barkat Ali Mian @ Raja Son of Mohammad Maqbool Mian Resident of Mian Mohalla Pattan under PIT-NDPS Act after obtaining formal detention orders from the competent Authority.
The booked drug smuggler has been detained and subsequently lodged in Central Jail Kot-Balwal Jail Jammu.Pertinent to mention that many cases are registered against the drug Smuggler and was involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth of Pattan and other areas of District Baramulla, Despite his involvement in many FIR’s they did not mend their activities and were again involved in promoting drug abuse trade by supplying drugs to local youth.they Said.(BAN)
