The snow clearance work on the Mughal Highway connecting the Pir Panchal region to Kashmir will be taken up soon to restore this important road link which has been closed for the past three months.
Deputy Commissioner (DC) Poonch, Vikas Kundal told Greater Kashmir that snow clearance work would commence shortly and the road would be made operational for traffic. Locals have been appealing to the authorities to take up snow clearance work to alleviate their suffering.
DC Kundal attributed the delay in snow removal to the weather situation, stating that the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) would be asked to clear the snow once the weather improves.
The Mughal Road is a critical lifeline for the people of Rajouri-Poonch, and its reopening will bring much-needed relief to the Pir Panjal region.
