BJP bigwigs in Haryana, including CM Manohar Lal Khattar, have got on the “Modi Ka Parivar” bandwagon.
Calling it an answer to RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav’s jibe at PM Narendra Modi for not having a family, the leaders have started identifying themselves as members of Modi’s family on their social media profile.
Khattar added it to his ‘X’ intro followed by state president Nayab Saini, minister Mool Chand Sharma, Central minister Rao Inderjit Singh, etc. Party sources claimed that the IT cell had been asked to ensure that not just leaders, workers and their families take up the slogan, but even voters were urged to add it to their profile. “The PM considers every Indian his family and now it’s our turn to reciprocate. The campaign has gained momentum. People are joining the “Modi parivar”. Many people are approaching local workers to open their social media accounts, especially on X, to be part of the campaign,” said Arvind Saini, state media company head.
At an INDIA bloc rally, Lalu had taken a dig at Modi over his campaign against nepotism. “He has no family,” he taunted in presence of senior Congress and Left leaders.
