Srinagar, 31 May (Gulistan News) : A mock drill under ‘Operation Shield’ was conducted at the DC Office Srinagar, showcasing emergency response strategies during war-like or critical situations. Personnel from SDRF, Fire & Emergency Services and Civil Defence demonstrated rescue operations, fire management and safety protocols to prepare for emergencies.
Deputy Commissioner Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-ud-Din Bhat, was present at the event. He stated, “This drill aligns with the Ministry of Home Affairs guidelines and aims to enhance preparedness for emergencies.”
As part of the drill, a blackout is scheduled for 8 PM today, lasting ten minutes, to simulate wartime emergency measures.
