Srinagar, 08 February (Gulistan News TV): Grand Mufti of J&K Statement on Er Rashid’s Health, Stated, “Grand Mufti Nasir ul Islam has expressed deep concern over the deteriorating health of Engineer Rashid, who has been hospitalized. He’s also alarmed by reports that Tihar jail authorities have withdrawn phone and video call facilities for political prisoners in NIA custody.

This move has not only affected the prisoners’ ability to communicate with their families but also adds to their mental and emotional distress.

Mufti Nasir Ul Islam has emphasized that the health conditions of many political prisoners, especially the elderly, are a cause for concern for everyone, not just their families. He believes that the government’s severe approach to dealing with Kashmiris is counterproductive and urges the Indian government to release all political prisoners, including leaders, lawyers, civil society members, media personnel, and youth.

He also calls on the elected government in Jammu and Kashmir to honor its commitments and work towards the release and relief of these prisoners.” (Gulistan News TV)
