Tangdhar, 15 March 2025 : FSC ex328 Field Hospital, under the aegis of 104 Infantry Brigade, organized a comprehensive medical and dental camp in the schools of the Tangdhar bowl. The initiative aimed to promote healthcare awareness and provide essential medical support to school children in this remote region.
Two schools actively participated in the camp, which was led by Maj Varsha Renjit, Officer Commanding FSC ex328 Field Hospital, and Capt Mansi Rathore, Officer Commanding DS-2. The team conducted informative sessions on personal hygiene, oral care, proper handwashing techniques, and correct methods of brushing teeth.
Following the interactive lectures, a thorough dental inspection was carried out along with an ad-hoc OPD for children suffering from common ailments. In addition, school teachers were briefed on preventive healthcare education, equipping them to further spread awareness among students.
The camp witnessed a total strength of 150 participants, with 90 students receiving dental check-ups and 125 attending the OPD. The program was a reflection of the Indian Army’s ongoing commitment to the welfare of local communities in border areas.
