Mission Director POSHAN J&K, Kishori Lal Sharma today conducted a comprehensive review of the ongoing ICDS-Poshan Projects in Kishtwar District..
The review meeting was held at the PO ICDS office within the DC Office Complex.
The meeting was attended by Child Development Project Officers (CDPO) Nagseni, Dr Najeeb Latief, CDPO Rahida Banoo, Supervisors, dealing assistants and HNMs of District Kishtwar.
Officers presented a detailed overview of the project-wise achievements of the ongoing POSHAN schemes in the district.
The Mission Director closely examined the financial and physical progress of each project, which included schemes such as the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Poshan Tracker, Supplementary Nutrition Programme (SNP), Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE), Geo-tagging of Anganwadi Centers (AWCs), Honorarium, Rent, and expenditures across different categories.
He emphasized the importance of timely and judicious utilization of funds, ensuring compliance with codal formalities.
A significant focus of the review was the recruitment process for Sanginis (Anganwadi Workers) and Sahayikas (Anganwadi Helpers) across all POSHAN projects in the District.
The Mission Director issued directives to resolve any obstructions in a time-bound manner, ensuring the recruitment process is completed smoothly, transparently, and in accordance with established rules and regulations.
Moreover, the Mission Director instructed CDPOs to actively oversee the awareness activities focused on Ladli Beti Scheme besides conducting Training for newly recruited AWWs.
The meeting concluded with a vote of thanks, marking a productive session aimed at strengthening the implementation and monitoring of POSHAN initiatives in Kishtwar.
