Mata Vaishno Devi Yatra: Now RFID card is necessary for devotees, fine if not returned after completing the journey

To control the crowd of devotees on New Year, the Shrine Board has started the system of Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) cards. No passenger will be allowed to leave for the building without this card. Every devotee will be monitored with a state-of-the-art scanner. The Shrine Board administration will fine the devotee who does not return the card after completing the yatra. This system has started. Taking lessons from last year’s accident, the Shrine Board has deployed additional personnel at the entrance gate of Darshani Deodhi including New Tarakot Marg, Katra Helipad, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Railway Station, etc.

Constant monitoring is being done with state-of-the-art scanners. It is being ensured that no devotee travels to Mata Vaishno Devi without RFID card and must submit his card on return.
Those who are not depositing the cards, are being fined if caught. The main purpose of this strictness is not to allow overcrowding on the travel route and the building.
Fine is being charged from such devotees who are not returning their RFID Yatra Card after completion of Yatra. The Shrine Board will also fine those devotees who travel without RFID cards. His journey will also be cancelled. Anshul Garg, CEO, Shrine Board.
