Demands for Introduction of Mass Communication Subject at +2 Level in J&K

Srinagar, January 18 ( Gulistan News Tv) : A delegation of Mass Communication degree holders, under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Mass Communication Studies Forum (JKMCSF), met with the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) on Saturday, requesting the introduction of the Mass Communication subject at the senior secondary level across Jammu and Kashmir.

During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the growing career opportunities in the field of Mass Communication and called for its inclusion in the curriculum at the +2 level. They pointed out that adding this subject would create numerous professional prospects for students, especially in the rapidly expanding media industry.

The delegation also reminded the Director of a proposal made by the department around seven years ago, which suggested the addition of nine new subjects, including Mass Communication, at the senior secondary level. However, the subject has yet to be introduced.

The Director of School Education Kashmir gave a patient hearing to the delegation’s concerns and assured them that the demand would be carefully considered. He stated that appropriate action would be taken on the matter in due course. ( Gulistan News Tv)
