On the direction of Sub Divisional Magistrate Zanskar, Sonam Dorjay, a team of Government Officers and Officials headed by Naib Tehsildar Ibrahim Khan today conducted market checking in main market Padum, Zanskar.
During the checking, various general stores, restaurants, Dhabas, cosmetic shops, vegetable sellers and chicken sellers were inspected. An amount of Rs 7,800 was fined from the defaulters.
The team also seized expired products and rotten vegetables and fruits from different shops and vegetable sellers and also imposed fine. The team disposed of the seized products.
