Manu Bhaker made history by becoming the first Indian female athlete to win two medals in a single Olympics. On July 30, she clinched a bronze in the 10m air pistol mixed team event, adding to her earlier bronze in the women’s 10m air pistol. Bhaker and her partner Sarbajot Singh defeated Korea’s Wonho Lee and Jin Ye Oh with a scoreline of 16-10 in a thrilling final.

The duo overcame a shaky start, where Korea led initially, but Bhaker and Singh rallied with strong performances in subsequent rounds. Their consistent shooting ensured India’s second medal of the Tokyo 2024 Olympics.
