The Rajouri police averting a major drug trafficking arrested a man with 7,000 narcotic pills in the district.

According to the report, the Rajouri police today apprehended a man with 7,000 narcotic pills who was evading police arrest from a long time and was peddling narcotics in the region.

“The drug trader is an addict and he also smuggle drugs. We received information that this man has drugs with him and we nabbed him on that tip-off. When we caught him we recovered 1000 pills from him first then after interrogation we recovered more than 7000 tablets from him, which consists of  Tramadol and Betadol tablets.

“We have found his batch number cause earlier we use to erase batch numbers and through it we will get to know his modus operandi. We are working on this and have nabbed this big drug peddler of Rajouri because he is very cunning and used to evade arrest. We have zero tolerance against drugs”, said DSP, HQ Rajouri, Mudassir Chowdhary.
