Man drowns to death in Pulwama village

A man on Saturday lost his life in Kashmir’s Pulwama strict after he drowned in river Jhelum this morning.
As per report, the incident took place when four labourers were extracting sand from river Jhelum in a boat in Lelhar village of Kakapora of Pulwama which sunk in the river, following which the labourers on it drowned in the Jhelum.
After the incident, the locals after hearing cries of the four men reached at the scene and pulled them out of the river.
However, when one among the four drowned labourer rushed to PHC, kakapora where he was proclaimed as dead on arrival.
He has been identified as Shoket Ahmad of Pulwama.
Meanwhile, Kakapora police have taken cognizance of the incident and a probe is on.
