March 22, 2025 : Doda Police have arrested a man for his alleged involvement in case FIR No 65/2025 US 299 BNS for hurting the sentiments of a community. The accused, identified as Parvez Ahmed S/O Ghulam Ali Dar R/O Panyalla Gundna Distt Doda , was taken into custody after his involvement found in the instant case.

While giving details official sources said that a case under FIR No 65 of 2025 under section 299 BNS was registered at PS Doda following complaint and recovery of some objectionable material at Punyala Gundana due to which sentiments of a particular community was hurt. SSP Doda Sh. Sandeep Mehta JKPS constituted an investigation team under the supervision of Senior officers. The police took swift action and arrested the accused under relevant sections of the law.

Doda Police is committed to maintaining communal harmony and taking action against those who attempt to disrupt it. The accused after the arrest was produced before the Hon’ble court and was remanded to 05 days in police custody and further investigation in the case is underway.
SSP Doda Sh Sandeep Mehta JKPS has warned that stern legal action will be taken against anyone who is found involved in such activities and inciting trouble by indulging in activities prejudicial to the communal harmony in the area, which may include imposition of the Public Safety Act (PSA).
