IPL 2023: LSG pacer Mohsin Khan has said that his mindset was to bowl six good deliveries in the final over against MI after winning the game for his team in Lucknow on Tuesday.

Mohsin, who was a star for LSG last season with 14 wickets in nine matches, had missed the majority of the ongoing IPL 2023 campaign as he was recovering surgery for a shoulder injury last year.

On Tuesday, the 24-year-old came up trumps for LSG against MI as he was given the task to defend 10 runs in the final over against Tim David and Cameron Green.

Mohsin gave away just five runs as LSG won the match by five runs and moved to third in the IPL 2023 points table.

Speaking at the post-match press conference, the 24-year-old said he did have pressure bowling the final over but he backed himself and his mindset was to bowl six good deliveries.

“Obviously there was pressure as I was bowling the last over. But I had a conversation with the captain and he told me to follow what I was doing during practice and I backed it. I wasn’t looking at how much runs they required in the end. My mindset was that I needed to bowl six good deliveries and I was able to do that.
