Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls in Jammu and Kashmir, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has unveiled a formidable lineup of 40 senior leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, who will spearhead the party’s campaign efforts.
The party issued a comprehensive list of candidates yesterday, which includes Jagat Prakash Nadda, Nitin Gadkari, Smriti Irani, and other influential leaders including those from the state.
BJP’s J&K President Ravinder Raina, Dr. Jitender Singh, and Jugal Kishore Sharma are among the notable names on the list.
Speaking to a Srinagar based agency, Sunil Sethi, the BJP Chief Spokesperson, expressed the party’s unwavering readiness for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, scheduled to commence in five phases in Jammu and Kashmir from April 19.
“BJP has been actively engaged in grassroots work in the Kashmir valley for the past five years and is fully prepared for the elections,” Sethi stated. He emphasized the party’s commitment to informing the public about the developmental initiatives undertaken by the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, particularly highlighting the peace prevailing in the region today.
Party on Thursday issued list of 40 candidates that includes Shri Narendra Modi, Jagat Prakash Nadda, Rajnath Singh, Amit Shah, Nitin Gadkari, Yogi Adityanath, Anurag Thakur, Jairam Thakur, Sunil Jakhar, Smriti Irani, Bhajan Lal Sharma, Pushkar Singh Dhami, Tarun Chugh, Ashish Sood, Ashwani Sharma.
BJP’s J&K President Ravinder Raina, Dr. Jitender Singh, Jugal Kishore Sharma, Ghulam Ali Khatana, Dr. Narinder Singh, Dr. Nirmal Singh, Kavinder Gupta, Sunil Sharma, Vibodh Gupta, Dr. D. K. Manyal, Shakti Raj Parihaar, Chander Mohan, Priya Sethi, Er. Ab. Gani Kohli, Devender Rana, Surjit Singh Slathia, Balwant Singh Mankotia, Adv. Sunil Sethi, Talib Hussain, Iqbal Malik, Sanjita Dogra, Arun Prabhat, Ch. Roshan Hussain, Munish Sharma, and Mohd Rafiq Wani.
“We are fully prepared for the elections and are confident of securing victory in all five Lok Sabha seats in Jammu and Kashmir, as well as in Ladakh,” Sethi asserted, underlining the party’s optimism for a successful electoral outcome.
