Locals of Hatli morh area of district Kathua on Tuesday indulged and interrupted the construction of a bridge.
According to the locals, the construction of the bridge at Hatli morh chowk was started without giving any information to the locals and stakeholders. “Authorities have began the construction without giving any notice to the public and are conducting the process by their own will,” said a local resident.
Locals said we have requested to construct a pillared bridge. The authorities are not paying any heed to our demand instead have started to work on a bridge, which is not pillared.
Locals came out on roads to stop the construction work, which began this morning. ” We stopped them from creating any fuss,” said a police officer.
