Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that such a system of terror was developed in Jammu and Kashmir, which worked to break the morale of the society.
The aspirations of the society were stifled for several decades, but now the new and aspiring youth of J&K are the biggest stakeholders.
Targeting the neighboring country Pakistan, Manoj Sinha said that earlier an attempt was made to break the morale of the society by spreading terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir.
Now efforts are being made to destroy the energy of the society especially the youth through narco terrorism.
He was speaking at the Y 20 (Youth 20) Consultative Conference under the G-20 Peace Building and Reconciliation, Ushering in an Era Without War at the General Zorawar Singh Auditorium of Jammu University on Wednesday. Because of Article 370, earlier there was such a system in Jammu and Kashmir, which showed discrimination. More than 45,000 people lost their lives due to terrorism.
Lakhs of people were forced to leave their motherland, but now a new dawn has begun in Jammu and Kashmir.
Now economic development, an important stimulus for an aspirational society, basic fundamental rights like education, healthcare, employment are no longer hostage to violence.
Youth power is the strength of Jammu and Kashmir. He has dedicated himself for the rejuvenation of the society and for inclusive growth.
Education Sector improved in Kashmir
Today Jammu and Kashmir has turned into the education center of India. Big institutes like IIM, IIT, AIIMS, IIMC and Central University are here. Now the youth should not think for themselves but for the welfare of the world. He said that it is the most important time to build a civilized and cooperative world order with the spirit of unity.
Youth will bring new hope, innovative solutions to tackle the challenges of peace and sharpen social consciousness. Youth can do the work of reshaping the world. The aspirations of the individual and the society can be fulfilled only in a state of peace. The young generation is eager to create a peaceful and prosperous present and future for the entire humanity.

The Lt Governor said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India would lead the world in effectively addressing a wide gamut of security challenges. It includes social, political, economic and environmental with a sense of One Earth, One Family, One Future.
It is the responsibility of the youth to use their collective power for the development and upliftment of humanity. Youth follow the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi and Swami Vivekananda to create a global society based on trust and mutual respect.
He emphasized that the youth should outline their future plans in the conference. During this Vice Chancellor Jammu University Prof. Umesh Rai, Convener Y 20 Secretariat Ajay Kashyap gave brief background information of the consultation meeting.
