Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday handed over appointment letter to Suneeta Pandit, wife of Suneel Pandit, officials said.
Pandit, a resident of south Kashmir’s Shopian district, was shot dead by militants last year.
“LG Sinha assured all possible assistance from the UT Administration to the family of the martyred civilian,” said a spokesman of Raj Bhavan.
“The family members of Sh Suneel Pandit were also present at the Raj Bhawan.”
