Kathua, May 08 :  Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Shri Manoj Sinha inaugurated the newly constructed Kathua Water Front at Kathua today. The launch of this important project is expected to give a new impetus to tourism and local economy in Kathua. Many dignitaries and local leaders were present at the inauguration ceremony, who appreciated the initiative. Divisional Commissioner Jammu Ramesh Kumar, IGP Bhim Sain Tuti, Deputy Commissioner Kathua Rakesh Minhas (IAS), MLA Jasrota Rajiv Jasrotia, MLA Bani Dr. Rameshwar Singh, MLA Kathua Dr. Bharat Bhushan and DDC Chairman Shri Mahan Singh along with other officers and public representatives were present at the ceremony. In his address, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said, “Kathua Water Front will not only emerge as a tourist destination, but it will also create new employment opportunities for the local people. This project is an important step towards development and prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.” He also appreciated the District Administration and the concerned departments for completing the project on time.
