New Delhi, Feb 13: Union minister Jitendra Singh encouraged students from Jammu and Kashmir to utilize various central government programs designed to enhance their financial and professional empowerment.
During a luncheon event organized for a group of J&K youth visiting Delhi under the central government’s youth exchange programme, he highlighted the significance of self-awareness and career planning, encouraging them to recognize their strengths and tailor their goals accordingly.
Singh, the Minister of State for Personnel, highlighted the significant start-up, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities offered by the Modi government and encouraged them to take advantage of these.
The minister had a meaningful dialogue with the youth, encouraging them to utilize different central government programs designed to enhance their financial and professional abilities.
A total of 125 students from J&K took part in the programme, acquiring insight into opportunities provided by government schemes.
He urged the young people of Kashmir to seek opportunities in their area’s abundant heritage industries, like Pashmina weaving and wood carving, to ensure sustainable livelihoods.
Singh highlighted that the program not only improves skill sets but also guarantees economic stability through financial incentives and job opportunities.
The minister praised the technological progress in Kashmir’s apple sector, noting that contemporary methods have increased apple yield and enhanced shelf life, enabling farmers to reach markets beyond their region.
He encouraged young individuals to adopt these technological advancements and propel advancement in their specific areas.
