Panic gripped the Gouripora, Sanat Nagar area after a leopard was spotted in the evening today.
Although a team of Department of Wildlife reached the area immediately but the leopard couldn’t be trapped.
Reports reaching here said that in the evening at about 7:30 PM some locals of Gouripora area spotted the leopard.
Panic stricken people preferred to remain indoors as soon as the news spread.
They informed the Department of Wildlife officials who immediately reached the spot.
Although intense search operation was launched in the whole locality, however the leopard couldn’t be traced.
The department officials have asked the people to remain vigilant and remain indoors.
