The Jammu and Kashmir Wildlife department on Friday captured a leopard alive from Aarigam area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
An official from the Wildlife department told that they received information that a leapord as been spotted in the Aarigam area of Pulwama following which they sent their teams to capture the wild animal.
He said that the leopard was roaming in the area, which threatens the lives of people and their livestock.
He said that immediately after receiving the information, the leopard was captured alive without any damage or injury.
Locals who were panicking due to the movement of leopard in the area have heaved a sigh of relief after it was captured.
