Tiranga rally in Kashmir: Manoj Sinha, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, stated on Sunday that the enormous turnout at the Tiranga demonstration in Srinagar is a big response to those who claimed that if Article 370 was repealed, no one would pick up the Tricolour.

“Every Kashmiri yearned for Tiranga in every hand today, and the great enthusiasm in the rally.” “Today’s rally is a big response to those who once claimed that no one in the Valley would pick up the Tri-colour (if Article 370 was repealed),” LG said while leading the Tiranga rally from the Botanical Garden here, as reported by news agency. Chief Secretary AK Mehta accompanied him.

Speaking on the occasion, DGP Dilbagh Singh remarked that the large participation of locals in the Tiranga yatra is a wonderful trend. In response to a question regarding the situation in Kashmir, he stated that the situation is generally peaceful on all fronts. “However, efforts are still being made from all sides to mislead the youth through social media.” The number of terrorists is negligible,” he added, adding that successful operations on the LoC this year eliminated a considerable number of infiltrators. “This year, the majority of infiltration bids were foiled,” he stated.
