LAHDC Kargil delegation calls on Advisor to LG UT Ladakh

Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan lead delegation of Executive Councilor, Er Punchok Tashi and Executive Councilor, Mohsin Ali today called on Advisor to LG UT Ladakh, Umang Narula at UT Secretariat Leh. During the course of meeting, the delegation discussed many issues of District Kargil.

Regarding recent shifting of District Cadre posts from Kargil to Leh, Advisor has intimated that whatever post created by erstwhile J&K and apportioned to UT Ladakh has been allocated to the respective District with additional post over and above the creation in a particular department of the District prior to bifurcation of Ladakh as UT.

As such there is no question of shifting of post from Kargil to Leh. Meanwhile, the Advisor sought creation order of all the posts available in a department prior to UT.

The Advisor has intimated that 49 additional post of ASK is allocated to CA&PD Department Kargil by UT Administration which has been proposed 100% promotional quota over which CEC LAHDC Kargil has requested to amend the rule thereby reserving 75:25 for promotional and direct quota which has been assured to be looked into by UT Administration so that the direct recruitment quota could be referred to DSSRB.

The CEC has brought into the notice of UT Administration that 36 posts of General Line teachers have been freezed even after the post has been vacated by non-local teacher recruited in the District who has left the District prior to UT formation.

The delegation requested the Advisor to defreeze the post and refer to DSSSR for recruitment at the earliest. The one-time relaxation of requirement of CTET in basic eligibility criteria for General Line teacher has also been requested citing the reason of least availability of such candidate in the District.
