Kulgam, March 15: In a significant crackdown on illegal activities, Kulgam Police recovered illicit kerosene in the jurisdiction of Police Station Kulgam and arrested three accused persons involved in the commission of crime.
Acting on specific informations about selling of kerosene oil in black market at Arreh and Shalipora, Kulgam. The police parties headed by SHO Police Station Kulgam along with Executive Magistrate conducted search in the said villages and recovered 500 and 300 liters of Illicit Kerosene from the possession of Tariq Ahmad Dar son of Bashir Ahmad Dar resident of Shalipora, Ishfaq Ahmad Wani son of Ali Mohd Wani resident of Arreh and Mohd Lateef Khan resident of Sungai Danmar, Srinagar. The accused person involved in the commission of crime have been arrested.
Accordingly, cases vide FIR No. 12 & 21/2025 under relevant sections of law have been registered in Police Station Kulgam and investigation is in progress in both cases. Preliminary investigation reveals that the accused were selling the Kerosene oil illegally in black market.
