The 3rd Phase of Farmers’ Orientation Programme ‘Kisan Sampark Abhiyan’ under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) witnessed a huge participation of the farmers in all the eleven blocks of district Ramban. The campaign ended today at a positive note as an overwhelming response was received from the farming community in all 11 blocks of the district.
Farmers of different sectors, including Agriculture, horticulture, farming, dairy sector and poultry, besides officers from Agriculture and allied departments and PRIs attended the programme.
Villagers turned up in large numbers and showed keen interest in learning the projects of HADP and other Centrally Sponsored Schemes.
District Nodal Officer, Dr. Suhail Kawoosa informed that as many as 1158 farmers were registered during the three day programme across 11 blocks of the district. He said that the programme is aimed at reaching out to farmers and educating them about the latest agricultural practices and technology.
Audiovisuals (AVs) aids helped in disseminating the information at the grass root level about various government sponsored schemes meant for the welfare of the farmers in various sectors like Agriculture, Animal Husbandry,Sheep Husbandry, Horticulture, Apiculture,Pisciculture, Sericulture etc.
People were made aware regarding the schemes in vogue in Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Sericulture, Sheep Husbandry ,Fisheries and Horticulture.
The resource person from Agriculture and allied departments briefed the farmers regarding the schemes.
Threadbare discussions and Question Answer sessions were held in every panchayat.
Informative booklets in English Urdu and Hindi containing information about the schemes of HADP were distributed among the participants.
Moreover, farmers were also made aware about Daksh Kisan (online learning portal for skill development) and Kisan Sathi (IT Dashboard) portals regarding the digitalisation of various services/ schemes.
The PRI members present at the occasion lauded the efforts of the departments for educating the farmers regarding the Holistic Agriculture Development Plan of their respective panchayats.
Deputy Commissioner, Ramban Mussarat Islam appreciated the stakeholders department for successfully culminating the 3rd phase of Farmer Orientation Programme ‘Kisan Sampark Abhiyan’ under the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) across 11 blocks of the district. He also said that the Government has launched a number of schemes and programs for the welfare of the farmers and urged them to avail the benefits of the same.
