A group of Kashmiri writers and poets refute allegations levelled against Existing Kashmiri Board of Shaitya Akademi are concocted, fabricated and false.
The group says that the Kashmiri Board of Sahitya Akademi has been constituted through legitimate and legal procedure of the academy.
Professor Shad Ramzan has been elected to the post of convenor of Kashmiri board of Sahitya Akademi by virtue of mandate, While prof. Mohammad Zaman Azurdah nominated as a general body members of the Akademi out of the quota of eminent writers.
The foul and obnoxious language used against the two veterans of the Kashmiri language is Condemnable, contemptuous, unacceptable and indecent. Prof. Zaman is a renowned Urdu-Kashmiri bilingual author, researcher, critic, translator of national repute. He was former dean faculty of Arts and oriental learning, university of kashmir.
He had a privilege to have head of both urdu and Kashmiri departments of Kashmir university. He was a convenor of Kashmiri board of sahitya Akademi. There are more than 200 research papers and scores of books at his back both in Kashmiri and urdu.
He won many international,national and local awards. His remarkable contribution to the growth and development is worth acknowledging at all levels.
Prof. Shad. Ramzan is also a profound writer, critic, researcher, translator and poet of Kashmiri language. He won many awards including sahitya Akademi and local awards. He headed twice department of Kashmiri university of Kashmir.
He is the first phd in Kashmiri and thus enriched research culture in the department of Kashmiri. He is regarded as one of the best teachers that Kashmiri language ever produced.
