Family of a Kashmiri student on Tuesday has appealed PMO Jatinder Singh, J&K Transport Welfare Association chairman Ajit Singh, both local and central govt to bring back his body to J&K, who passed away in Iran on 5th of January.

The Kashmiri student identified as Arslan Amin Kanjwal s/o Late Mohd Amin Kanjwal r/o Noor Bagh, Sopore was a 4th year MBBS student of University of Medical Science, Iran and died due to cardiac arrest on 5 Jan.

A Sopore based social activist namely Javed on behalf of the deceased’s mother apprised media that Arslan was the only son of his widowed mother and he wanted that the PM Modi should take up this issue with foreign affairs.

“The local regime has helped us in paper work but we want his body here cause since 11 days we have not received his body. We appeal to chairman Ajit Singh and PMO Jatinder Singh to bring back Arsalan’s body just like recently he brought back another J&K’s student’s corpse. We have full faith that they will help us and we also appeal PM Modi and HM Amit Shah to fulfill our request and direct foreign ministry to contact Iranian govt”, Mr Javed said.

“His mother could go insane if her son’s body didn’t brought back to Kashmir for final rites”, he added.
