The week-long Volleyball Championship Bagtore organized by Indian Army concluded on Saturday here at Border area Bagtore Gurez
The final match was played between Indian Army and Kanzalwan at Playground Bagtore Gurez area in North Kashmir’s Bandipora district.
Both the teams showcased their immense talent but Kanzal performed better and won the final match.
Locals of Bagtore and it’s adjoining villages participated in the tournament showing gusty performances.
Besides, cash prizes, trophies and Rs 6000 were awarded to the winners team by Indian Army’s Officers who attended the event as the Chief Guest.
While speaking with reporters On the occasion the locals said that the motive of the tournament was to promote sports and physical fitness amongst the youth and provide opportunity to the youth of the remote areas to step out and showcase their sports talent.
Meanwhile, the players talking with reporters said that such tournaments should be conducted in the near future also because games and sports are the best means of fitness.
They said Conducting various sports activities strengthen the bond and generate goodwill among the youth.
