In Ladakh, The Ladakh Buddhist Association Branch Kargil celebrated the 2567th Buddha Purnima at Syed Mehdi Memorial Hall Kargil.
On this occasion Geshes TSEWANG DORJAY, The famous Religious scholar of Ladakh was the Chief Guest and
Chhering Dorjay Lakrok( senior vice president of LBA) was the Guest of Honour.

On this occasion Sardar Karan Singh representative of Sikh Community, Ravinder Nath only Hindu Family of Kargil, Famous Muslim Scholar Engineer Haji Hussain Akchamal, Monks, Nuns and hundreds of People were also present.
On this occasion Nominated Councillor LAHDC Kargil Tsewang Dorjey, Engineer Haji Mohd Hussain, Sardar Karan Singh and others talked on this occasion.

Tsering Dorjey Lakrook while talking on this occasion threw light on the teaching of Gautam Buddha and urged upon the people to follow his teachings for peace and prosperity in the society.
Talking about the Construction of Gonpa in Kargil he said that LBA has a plan to build a massive Gonpa at The land allotted by LAHDC Kargil and urged upon the LAHDC Kargil to speed up the handing over of the Land to LBA.
Geshes Tsewang Dorjay while talking on this occasion that Bhudha has always reached for Ahimsa (Peace) and people should follow his teachings to prevail in peace and harmony in the society.
He further said that the teaching of Bhudha to talk and think about Us rather than focusing on Me or I for a Better society.
He wished the people of Kargil on this auspicious day and prayed for peace and harmony in the society.
