Jammu, 15th April 2025 : The Kala Kendra, Jammu, in collaboration with the J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages today celebrated World Art Day with great enthusiasm and participation today. To mark the occasion, an exclusive Art Exhibition featuring 50 unique artworks was inaugurated at the G.R. Santosh Art Gallery by Harvinder Kour, Secretary, JKAACL, in the presence of artists, writers, intellectuals, and art lovers. jammu kashmir news

In his welcome address, Dr. Javaid Rahi, Secretary, Kala Kendra, highlighted the global significance of World Art Day, observed to promote awareness of creative expression and foster appreciation for the arts among the general public. He emphasized that the exhibition aims to connect people with rare and diverse forms of artistic expression, showcasing the cultural richness of the region. jammu kashmir news

Speaking on the occasion, l Harvinder Kour underlined the vital role of art in preserving and promoting cultural heritage. She informed the audience about the Academy’s year-round efforts to support various art forms and mentioned the launch of an Annual Calendar of Activities aimed at catering to multiple streams of art, including visual arts, literature, and performing arts. jammu kashmir news
