Judge Dinesh Chandra Shukla, who sentenced gangster-turned-politician Atiq Ahmed and two others to life imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh each, will now be provided with Y-plus security.
According to top officers in the Uttar Pradesh Police, the local police have provided adequate security to the judge. Not only this, the security around the premises of the MP-MLA court in Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, which convicted Atiq Ahmed and two other accused in the 2006 kidnapping of Umesh Pal, has also been tightened.
