The trailer of ‘Joker: Folie a Deux’, which stars Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, was released by the makers amid massive anticipation. The sequel to Todd Phillips’ 2019 psychological thriller is gearing up for a grand release later this year. While Joaquin Phoenix will make his comeback as Arthur Fleck aka The Joker, Lady Gaga will be seen as Harley Quinn. The partners-in-crime are all set to cause mayhem in Gotham.
The makers shared the official teaser trailer on April 10 on Instagram and wrote, “He’s not alone anymore. Joker: Folie Deux – only in theaters and @IMAX, October 4. #JokerMovie #FilmedForIMAX (sic).” The film received an ‘R’ rating for strong violence and nudity.
The trailer begins with Arthur spending his time in prison. He then meets Harley, who does a fake gun gesture using her hands and blows her head off. She also reveals that she looks up to him as he has achieved more in life compared to her.
Harley also convinces Arthur to escape the prison. They then set off on a mad and crazy ride, embracing each other’s crazy side.
‘Joker: Folie a Deux’ also features Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, Jacob Lofland and Harry Lotte. The film will release in theatres on October 4.
The film is written by Todd Phollips and Scott Silver, while the music is scored by Hildur Guonadottir.
