A doctor from South Kashmir’s Anantnag district has committed suicide in Delhi, family sources on Saturday.
Dr. Rashid, who had completed his MBBS in Bangladesh and was coaching for MCI in Delhi’s Gautam Nagar, allegedly jumped from a hostel building.
“We have received a call from there that he has committed suicide by jumping from the hostel in Delhi,” a family source said.
The body of the deceased is being brought to his native village. The deceased’s father recently passed away due to a cardiac arrest.
At least 16 Kashmiri students pursuing higher education in colleges and universities outside Jammu and Kashmir have tragically lost their lives to suicide since 2016, according to the Jammu and Kashmir Students Association (JKSA).
