Congress’s Jammu and Kashmir Chief, Vikar Rasool Wani on Saturday distanced himself from National Conference (NC) Vice President Omar Abdullah’s statement in which he refused to accord Anantnag seat with Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) President, said that India alliance is yet to take final call over seat sharing in Jammu and Kashmir. “Whatever Omar has stated, it is his proposal or opinion, but not INDI Alliance’s decision,” he said.
Wani said that the leader Mukul Wasnik, who is helming the INDIA bloc is in constant touch with both Omar Abdullah and PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti and that it is expected that the final decision will come before very soon.
He added that Congress intends that all the alliance partners of JK must fight together and defeat the BJP, which according to him is plunging the erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir in deep crisis.
It is ironic that JK in terms of unemployment is standing second after Haryana and that the jobless amongst the youth is touching new heights, he added.
