JKECC and JKTA Organize a magnanimous one day Conference on Drug Abuse and Social Evils at SP College Srinagar.

In a historic and unparalleled initiative, the Jammu and Kashmir Employees Coordination Committee (JKECC), an amalgamation of more than 36 Employees Groups in collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers Association (JKTA), under the leadership of Shah Fayaz, President JKECC and Chairman JKTA, organized a grand and highly successful one-day conference at SP College Srinagar to address the pressing issues of drug abuse and other social evils that have engulfed the society especially the youth in JKUT.

The event evoked an overwhelming response, with prominent officers and officials from civil and police administration in attendance among the esteemed guests on the occasion. The participation of high profile officers and officials underscores the importance of a collective approach in combating the unabated growth in the menace of drug abuse that has gripped the society at large .

This conference marks the fourth consecutive year that JKECC has successfully organized such programmes, reaffirming its commitment to raising awareness and mobilizing action against social ills. A large number of civil society members, including educators, community leaders, and concerned citizens, also participated in the programme demonstrating a unified resolve to tackle these challenges head-on.

While addressing the conference, the Director of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) Tassaduq Hussain Mir JKAS highlighted the gravity of the drug abuse crisis, emphasizing that “drug abuse is a major concern in our society and requires collective efforts from all sectors to curb this menace.”

In his address to the learned gathering , Shah Fayaz expressed the unwavering commitment of JKECC and JKTA to eradicate drug abuse and other social evils from society. “We will leave no stone unturned to make our society drug-free,” he declared, calling upon all stakeholders, including civil society, law enforcement agencies, and educational institutions, to join hands in this noble mission.

The line of dignified guests included Director School Education Kashmir Tassaduq Hussain Mir, Er Hilal (JKAS) Personal officer at DSEK, SSP SBK CID Kashmir Mir Aftab Ahmad (JKAS), Peerzada Zahoor Ahmad OSD to Honourable Minister of Higher Education, School Education & Social Welfare Miss Sakina Masood Itoo,SSP Traffic Srinagar Muzaffar Shah ,parvaiz ah raina jkas member special tribunal j&k , Income Tax Officer Sarfaraz Ahmad ( JKAS) , and a slew of officers and officials from various departments.
Moreover, media persons from various media houses including the National TV Channel Gulistan News were among the participants.
It is worthwhile to mention that Gulistan News has been playing a pivotal role in highlighting the issues concerning the welfare and wellbeing of the society especially the issues like drug abuse and others.
Many participants also presented their points of view regarding the issue stressing upon sustained and collaborated efforts to uproot the evil of drug abuse once and for good.
The prominent speakers included Director School Education Kashmir Tassaduq Hussain Mir, SSP Traffic Srinagar Muzaffar Shah , Taxation Officer Sarfaraz Ahmad, and many others.

The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Shah Fayaz, who acknowledged the invaluable support and cooperation of all participants. He urged continued collaboration to ensure a safer, healthier, and more prosperous society for future generations.
