JK-UT powerlifting championships 2023 held in Jammu
Jammu & Kashmir UT Powerlifting Championship 2023 was held at Sehaj Party Hall Raipur Satwari today. The Powerlifting Championship was organized by the Jammu Kashmir UT Youth Powerlifting Association is associated with Indian Powerlifting Federation where young boys and girls are given ample opportunity to show their skills.
Ex. Minister Raman Bhalla were present at the occasion as (special guest) along with other guests like Manminderpal Singh, Minder Singh, Deepak Sharma, Gurmeet Singh, Rahul Kholi, Vimal Sanyal, Bikram Singh, Arjun Saini, Sumit Thakyal, Shivcharan, Manav Lamba, Mridul Gai and Dilawar Singh.
The youngsters performed in different competitions in the powerlifting championship while Jatinder Singh ( Lucky), Vijaypal Singh, Gagandeep Singh, Prince , Neete Kour, Harish Verma, Rakesh Sharma Hemant Abrol at last but not least Gen. Sec. Iqbal Singh are in the organising team of the event and won award in (Strong Man senior dead lift) while Harish Verma won award in ‘Strong Man Junior deadlift’ category.
While others won accolades in different categories are mentioned here Sudanshu (Strong Man Sub . Junior deadlift) Brainjot Singh (Strong Man Bench press Senior) Gurjinder Singh (Strong Man Benchpress Junior) Akash Khajuria (Strong Man Sub.Junior Bench Press) Prince Kumar, Tipu Sultan and Pranav Mahajan (Heaviest lift in Deadlift) Pranav Mahajan.
In woman category the awards and competitions are as follows Savita Saini (Strong Woman Deadlift Senior), Shweta Gupta ( Strong woman Junior Deadlift), Aashika Ashraf (Strong Woman Senior Benchpress), Kavneet Kour (Strong Woman Junior Benchpress), Shweta Gupta(Strong Woman Sub. Junior Benchpress) Aashika Ashraf (Heavist lift in Benchpress).
