Returning Officer for Anantnag-Rajouri-Poonch Parliamentary Constituency, Syeed Fakhrudin Hamid informed on Saturday informed that they have received 28 nominations and 3 nominations of candidate were found twice.
However, the scrutiny that was scheduled for April 20 (today) at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Anantnag rejected nominations of four candidates citing different reasons for the forthcoming 2024 Lok Sabha elections scheduled on 26 April in Jammu and in Kashmir on May 7. While the first phase for the Udhampur-Kathua-Doda parliamentary constituency voting has been done successfully yesterday.
The Symbol allocation is set for April 23, in line with ECI guidelines, while April 22 has been set the last day for withdrawal of candidature.
