The subscribers of private telecom company—Jio on Saturday complained about erratic calling and internet services in Kangan area of Central Kashmir’s Ganderbal district.

Subscribers of the Jio cellular company from Prang, Kangan, Wussan, Thune, Cherwan, Gund and its adjoining areas told that they are facing immense problems due to erratic calling and internet services.

“We are unable to contact our near and dear ones as every time we dial the number, the network comes either busy, switched off, the number does not exist or shows a number is unavailable,” they said.

“Such a situation is being witnessed often on the Jio network,” the aggrieved residents told KNO, adding that due to poor network, the call drop is taking place frequently.

“We apprised the networking officials of the company about the erratic service many times, but no step was taken to address the issue,” they said.

Ever since the launching of the Jio service in the area, there have been complaints of poor signal but nothing was done by the concerned authorities to improve the situation.

The subscribers later appealed the higher ups of the cellular company to look into the matter and redress their grievance at earliest.
