J-K: Cattle trafficking attempts foiled, Bovines Rescued

Continuing their crackdown against crime in Jammu, the Pouni Chak police foiled a cattle trafficking attempt and rescued bovines from the possession of cattle peddlers on Wednesday (May 8).

Under the operation Kamdhenu bovines were confiscated by Police Post Pounichak. A  team of Police post Pounichak headed by PSI Vijay Kumar IC PP Pounichak has stymied bovine smuggling bid in which 2 bovines were rescued and a vehicle Mahindra Bolero pickup bearing registration number ‘JK02CX۔3758’  was seized from Akkalpur.

However, accused driver of the said vehicle fled away from the spot . In this regard FIR has been registered under relevant sections of law at Pounichak police station.
