Professor Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice Chancellor Islamic University of Science and Technology flagged off a group of 30 students who will visit different institutes across the country. The educational tour aimed to provide experiential learning to the students would expose them to innovative learning pedagogies.
Addressing the students, the Vice Chancellor advised them to make the best of this opportunity and engage with the faculty and students of the different institutes and gain new perspectives of knowledge and learning.
In the first leg of the tour, the students, among other places, shall visit Cluster Innovation Institute Delhi University and Jammu University, where they would participate in different activities and gain hands-on experience. The group will be on 7 day tour and are accompanied by faculty including Dr Ruheela Hassan, Dr Hilal Ahmad Makroo and Mr Nawaz Pandit.
Prof Romshoo also said that DYOD is a novel concept that allows students to explore their potential and harness their talent through learning by experimenting and experiencing the real-world problems. The programme inspired by the NEP 2020 offers multiple entry, exit and allows students to transcend discipline centric boundaries of the traditional learning approach.
