The Indian Premier League will have an opening ceremony for the first time since 2018 as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) plans to host a gala curtain raiser in Ahmedabad on March 31 ahead of the season opener between Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings.
The opening ceremonies of the IPL have been a star-studded affair since the tournament’s inception in 2008. These opening ceremonies have featured performances by celebrities such as Salman Khan, Pitbull, Akon, Shah Rukh Khan, Shriya Saran, and Katrina Kaif.
